It’s your code!!! As much as you don’t want to admit that its your code that is the problem, that is your very downfall. Here is what is wrong with the way your script works right now:

(1) The code is always open to malicious attack. For it not to function is one thing. What happens is whenever anything is wrong with advertlets, all blogs carrying their script goes down with them. For example, YOUR server load is too much- sorry, everyone’s blogs will NOT load at all. It’s not that that portion will not load … the script affects the ENTIRE BLOG.

(2) Malicious opening of other sites- you can’t blame others for this. There is something wrong with the code that others can so easily do this when they place an advert thru your system.

(3) Your code has virtually shut down and redirected everyone’s site to the domain registrar’s site when you failed to renew your domain name. Now think about this seriously … if your script, which sits on our blogs, can do that in one fell swoop- think of the damage someone can inflict if they really were able to hack your servers and decide to bring down all your supporters.

I cannot stress enough that this is a very deep-seated technical issue that unless you have someone who actually knows what they’re doing- will never be solved. Right now, you definitely don’t have a single person in your team who understands what the real problem is. Face it. So you can solve it. Deny it any further … well, it’s quite obvious where that will lead to.

DAMAGE: Our other sites were down (because of advertlet’s script)- on the same day we did an ad campaign. Talk about a lot of money and time down the drain.
