Are COE Prices ever going to Drop?

Posted by: Singapore Entrepreneur In: Business in Singapore

What is going on? Shouldn’t COE premiums start dropping already? COE Prices for small cars hit an all-time high at the end of the latest bidding exercise on Wednesday closing at S$81,889 -or- up 4.3% from previous tender by S$3,366.

CRAZEEEE … similarly, COE premiums for big cars ended 3.7% or S$3,301 higher at S$93,501.

Even motorcycles edged up S$89 to S$1,701, a ridiculous sum of money for those who can’t afford it.

Thankfully, in the commercial vehicles and open categories, the COE price dropped by S$834 to S$62,201 and S$1,010 lower at S$95,990 respectively. Still heady heights, but prices have simply got to start going down or we’ll all be driving around condos soon.
