Really, how do you think you’re going to possibly keep up? You can’t and you shouldn’t try. I don’t advise any entrepreneur to even think about having to keep up. Even the big boys have a hard time keeping up with the ever changing technology. And just because technology is changing doesn’t mean that it is better for your business.

So what you should do?
(1) GO TO THE EXPERTS
You should leave the “keeping up” and understanding the impacts of the new technology to the experts. It will save you a lot more money and definitely time, to just pay an expert (consultant) to inform you of what you need to change in your business to keep it efficient and at least at par or if possible, ahead of market.
(2) READ BLOGS
If you don’t have the funds at all, read up on the blogs by people who do nothing but invest time in understanding technology. Different businesses will have different technological niches, so just go find your niche.
(3) NETWORK
After checking with the experts, check with your customers, friends, business associates, clients, even competitors about the newest technologies. Often times, they are more than happy to share what they have learned as we all love to gripe about the pitfalls of technology as well as show off when we know of certain cool advances.
Final word- don’t make keeping up a priority. Focus on your customers. Often times, they are the ones who will tell you what you need to improve and even how to do it!
