Four (4) Marketing Ideas that won’t Break your Budget
Posted by: Singapore Entrepreneur In: Business in Singapore
The markets are picking up and economies around the world, especially in Asia, are finally seeing positive growth. If you’re still dawdling and wondering when is the right time to finally push your products, it is a certainty that you will get left behind.
Here are four (4) marketing ideas to get you off the ground on the smallest of budgets:
(1) Get Active on Online Marketing Groups
There are tons of social-networking sites and if you’re still not on any, it’s not only time to start lurking and learning but also participating. One of the biggest problems with Singaporeans is their reserve when it comes to speaking their mind in public forums. You’ll never get to know people that way. Another thing is sharing- lots of Singaporeans think they have the best ideas and trade secrets and don’t want to share. It’s a tit for tat world. If you don’t share, no one is going to be that generous with you either. Remember, ideas are a dime a dozen and with the internet, down to pennies. So Get Active!
(2) Reward Existing Customers
If you’ve got customers already, there’s nothing like giving them an extra incentive to buy more by giving them discounts only for them or if they recommend friends. And make it special- like creating a web page with items that only they can purchase.
(3) Look outside of your Industry
We’re not silos. Even though marketing needs to be as targeted as possible, the fact is, human beings are multi-faceted. So look outside of your industry to complementing ones that you can cross-sell or do co-promotions. For example, golf magazines often have wine, watches, and luxury cars as their advertisers.
(4) Adopt a Cause or Charity
Get physically involved with your community by adopting a cause or charity that your business will support. It shows your customers that you care and are giving back and frankly, let’s face it, we’re here on earth not just to make money but to make our existence count.
