End of an Era

Posted by: Singapore Entrepreneur In: Random Thoughts

t1home.kennedy.wbrosIt’s not even the end of 2009 yet and so many iconic people have passed away. With the passing of both Eunice and Ted Kennedy, it also signals the end of an era where ideals of country before self reigned supreme. What an incredible family that truly made a positive difference in people’s lives- all around the globe, not just in America.

No one can deny that the Kennedy’s gave the world “a message of hope, a message of victory” and while the siblings have gone, their legacy, especially that of the Special Olympics will definitely live on.

If I could call a year bad, it would have to be this one. It’s very sad that Ted Kennedy will not be able to see any healthcare reform. His voice in the legislature will be missed.

It is- both in terms of great people leaving us as well as the economic crisis impacting so many lives directly (but its a good wake up call to the excess of the last few years at the same time).
