Posted by: Singapore Entrepreneur In: Business in China

Very proudly, as they claimed they kept the skies blue and clear during the Olympics, workers fired 186 doses of silver iodide into the air between 8pm on October 31 and 11.25am on November 1 to prompt precipitation, causing an extra 16m cubic metres of snow to fall on the city.

They said they did it because of the drought the north has been experiencing since the beginning of October and most of the farmers are happy but there are some who have had their crops destroyed as well because of temperatures dropping by as much as 20c.
